Great atmosphere, wonderfully decorated and the food is delicious. The portions are huge. An extra ordered starter e.g. is more for 2 people. Space is rather tight and you have to reserve in advance! Otherwise you will rarely find space here.

One of the most beautiful ostrich inns I know. From the delicious food, the view and the always friendly staff, everything was great. Definitely recommended. Happy to keep it up. I can't understand some of the reviews here because I've always had different experiences. Fresh food takes time! If after 10 min. is already on the table, it can't be fresh! The playground with tractor and vehicles for children is great. The children can play and you can enjoy your meal in peace and without worrying about the kids. Of course, the menu in a restaurant based on an ostrich is manageable in comparison, but all the dishes on offer are always delicious. Great family run team. Gladly there again and again and everyone else shouldn't be dissuaded by individual reviews, but rather get an idea for themselves. And if something doesn't fit, I've made the experience in all areas: It's best to speak to them on site, then the other person can respond!

Waited over an hour for cheese cubes (!). X staff and everyone does something different. Someone takes up drinks, someone brings, someone takes up food, etc. Staff unfortunately from above. When asked whether the order can be canceled after waiting an hour, the message "You can wait as long as you want, I will certainly not cancel it". This store will never see me again.

First of all ... we are all not perfect and wherever people work, things don't always go smoothly ... Staying cool, even in hectic operations, is unfortunately not my nature ... but to be ANONYMOUSLY insulted and condemned by guests is cowardly ... If something is wrong with us, we expect the guest to contact us immediately and to identify himself and not to vilify everything and talk badly ... Especially in this Corona time it is particularly difficult for SOME stubborn guests to convey and enforce the corona ordinance prescribed for us ... and our team tries to do its best everywhere ... Therefore, our general request ... contact us directly on site and not anonymously from the back ... Thank you ?

A really nice place, especially in autumn. We ate a good, rustic meal.

Everything fits - good staff - food is great - portions okay - gladly again

Despite a 30 minute power failure on September 5th, 2020, everyone gave their best. The food tastes great. You won't find black or burnt food here. Always worth a visit.

At some recessions you can only shake your head ... Many expect the food to be on the table within half an hour, but do not see what kind of work is behind it and that it is seasonal. It was the second day yesterday and the girls and boys in the kitchen as well as in the service made the best of the situation and still had a casual saying ready. Many regular guests come there and if they weren't satisfied you wouldn't have been coming for years. Maybe you should see the work behind it.!

Waited 2 hours for the food! Then it was said that we had a power failure (20 seconds). The first and last time we were there. Oh and the food was burnt, not seasoned, and the taste was zero. The atmosphere and the place are very nice

The location and the setting are very nice, but unfortunately the food cannot meet expectations ... Service is ok, but it is also a long time coming with full staff. To stop for a wine or cyclist recommended, eat somewhere else ...

We are totally thrilled with this Straussi. Both the food and the service are very good and their money is more than worth it. The view of Lörrach and Switzerland is fantastic. We will be back definitely.

I had my first Asparagus dish here. Very tasty and many choices. The surrounding is green and rustic. Ideal to go with a group or family. Slightly uphill to reach but a pleasant walk.
